Worcester Bravehearts 2019

Friday night, August 2nd, families of TRIPLE PLAY BASEBALL CLUB were treated to its first WORCESTER BRAVEHEART’S/TRIPLE PLAY night at Holy Cross Stadium.

TRIPLE PLAY donated 50 tickets to its baseball/softball families who were a part of the 3800 in attendance, and were treated to a huge fireworks display following the game. The youngsters also participated in a run on the field in the 7thinning, just a part of the night’s festivities!

Front and center was TRIPLE PLAY’S own Charlie Butler, who coordinated the event thru the Bravehearts. Charlie, (a former 2 time champion Worcester Braveheart (2014-15) and current TP AAU Head Coach/Instructor), took pictures with his championship rings, signed programs/posters with current, former and future TRIPLE PLAY players and parents.

“It was a great night all around for TRIPLE PLAY and the Bravehearts. To see the smiles on the kids and parents faces, interacting with them and talking baseball, is what it’s all about. Just a great night,” said Butler.

The coaching staff/ownership of Triple Play (Mark Chiasson, Chuck Butler, Jason and Jake Zakrewsk) were also there interacting with parents/players, talking baseball and enjoying a ball game.  Scott Giusti, who rounds out the coaching staff, was busy coaching his U16 Showcase team in another successful tournament.

“That was a blast! Interacting with the kids and parents is what I love doing! I can’t wait to get on the field and work with the kids. Thanks to everyone and the Bravehearts for making this a great night!”, said Jason.

Says Jake, “Outstanding! What a night! There’s nothing like being at the ball field watching a game, talking baseball on a hot summer night! I hope we can do this every year!

We would also like to thank General Manager of the Braveheart’s Dave Peterson, who made us feel right at home!

Says Chiasson and Butler SR,: “This was great! So worth seeing all the TRIPLE PLAY families coming to the game, getting the opportunity to meet the coaching staff, get a picture with Charlie, talk and watch baseball, and see an awesome fireworks display, doesn’t get any better than that! We plan on this being a yearly event for sure!”
