Triple Play Batting Cages is holding3 & 4-week catching clinics with Boston Red Sox coach and former Major League Baseball Player Rich Gedman. Those who register for the clinic will learn the essential techniques of catching including framing, blocking and throwing. The clinics will include expert training will include no more than 4-5 students. All clinics will be held at Triple Play Batting Cages.
Students who sign up will be sorted by age to allow for focused instruction. Younger will be placed into the earlier time slots and older in the later slots. Students are encouraged to bring their own equipment but if your child needs equipment then Triple Play can supply a limited number of set on a first come basis. Coach Gedman will adjust your personal equipment for proper fit as needed.
NOTE: Players must sign up for all weeks (no partial). Payment in full is due at time of registration or at the beginning of the first class. Onlysnow/weather dates will be rescheduled or credited, credit/refunds will NOTbe given for randomly missed classes.

INSTRUCTOR INFORMATION
Rich Gedman (C, All-Star Boston Red Sox)
Gedman is a Worcester native and former Major League Baseball catcher who played 13 season with the Boston Red Sox (1980-90), Houston Astros (1990-91) and St. Louis Cardinals (1991-92). Coach Gedman was the Sporting News' AL Rookie of the Year (1981), a two time All-Star (1985-86). In his career, Coach Gedman batted .252 with 88 home runs, 382 RBI, 331 runs, 176 doubles, 12 triples, and three stolen bases in 1033 games. As a catcher, he compiled a .984 fielding percentage with 5274 putouts, 431 assists and 92 errors in 980 games.
