High School Tune-Up Clinic

Triple Play Batting Cages is holding 5-week tune-up clinic with Coach Mark Chiasson, Coach Chad Garner and Coach Charlie Butler. Those who register can expect to run through high level drills in preparation of the high school season. The purpose of the clinic is to reinforce the proper fundamentals of pitching, hitting, catching and fielding. The clinic will stress the importance of attitude, confidence, and dedication in order to give all the attendees an opportunity to succeed in baseball and in life. The clinic will also focus on position-specific techniques to prepare players to be ready for tryouts and the season to come.

CLINIC DATES & TIMES

 NOTE: Each clinic will have a 25 player limit. The clinic will end just prior to High School baseball tryouts.

INSTRUCTOR INFORMATION

Charlie Butler (Pitcher, UMaine, Worcester Bravehearts)

Coach Butler is a former UMaine Div. I student athlete (2013-16), Worcester Braveheart pitcher (2014-15), and Nashoba HS 4-year varsity player, league MVP in both junior and senior yrs, All-State first team and Super-team all-star. Senior year at Nashoba had record of 6-2, 0.91 era, with 90 strikeouts. Coach Butler is the U10 AAU Head Coach.

Chad Garner (1B, Fitchburg State, Fitchburg H.S. Head Coach)

Coach Garner is a former University of (1979-82). Has 20 years of of coaching experince at youth, high school and legion levels. Garner hit .500 in high school with a 2.07 ERA as a senior for Narragansett Regional High School team which won a state championship. Coach Garner is a U13 AAU Navy Assistant Coach.

Mark Chiasson (3B, Co-Capt. University of Lowell)

Coach Chiasson is a former University of Lowell Chiefs Baseball player (1979-82). He co-captained the Chiefs in 1982, and was the starting 3rd baseman for the 1981 NE Div II Championship team. In 1982, Chiasson led New England Div. II in batting with a .444 average. Chiasson was twice inducted into the Hudson High School Hall of Fame. Coach Chiasson is the U13 AAU Navy Head Coach.
