Free Youth Skills Clinics

Triple Play Batting Cages will occasionally hold one day free youth skills clinics hosted by our AAU and Showcase coaches. Here you will get a sample on some of the advanced drills and techniques that we use in our travel program during our winter practices or in our individual clinics. Clincs are orginized by town and we may allow a limited number of local coaches to help on a case-by-case basis. Clinics may include the use of

• Weighted balls for hitting which increase bat speed/power (swinging through the ball)
• Mini-baseball for hitting which increase hand/eye coordination
• Soft-hands or paddles which reinforces using two-hands and improves fielding technique
• Ladder drills which improve balance and footwork

COVID RULES: We have worked hard to establish protocols to provide a safe experience for athletes and coaches. For this reason, we have capped each clinic at 30 athletes and limited to a single town. We are following all government regulations and state guidelines so you must register online to reserve a spot.

The special multi-town will be limted to older kids of middle school age (generally 12-13) and provide some more in-depth instruction.

Clinics will be held at Triple Play Batting Cages.

HEAD INSTRUCTOR INFORMATION

Mark Chiasson (3B, Co-Capt. University of Lowell)

Coach Chiasson is a former University of Lowell Chiefs Baseball player (1979-82). He co-captained the Chiefs in 1982, and was the starting 3rd baseman for the 1981 NE Div II Championship team. In 1982, Chiasson led New England Div. II in batting with a .444 average. Chiasson was twice inducted into the Hudson High School Hall of Fame. Mark is the U13 AAU Head Coach.
