Triple Play AAU & Showcase Baseball

Triple Play Batting Cages offers travel baseball for players in the U10 to U17 divisions. Our objective is to help in the development of both the new and experienced player by increasing their overall knowledge and skill in all aspects of the game. We place an emphasis on fundamentals, understanding the game and team play. Our teams compete in the New England Amateur Athletic Union (NEAAU) which is a highly competitive travel league for elementary and middle school players. Players will continue to build upon skills as they progress through the age groups which will prepare them for high school level play and beyond.

With an emphasis on development our program offers benefits which include minimum playing time tracked and averaged over a season, a large number of practices and games, expert instruction in pitching, fielding and hitting all in a encouraging team-oriented atmosphere which focuses on sportsmanship, camaraderie and fun that is youth baseball. We also encourage our program players to participate in local town programs.

About Our Program

Triple Play Batting Cages AAU baseball season starts in January with weekly practices. Games generally start in late-March or early April continue until mid-June (U10-U12) or mid/late-July (U13-U17).  The format is double headers played on weekends over a 15-25 game schedule depending on the weather and age. Each player will receive high quality gear including a hat, uniform, practice attire, batting helmet and bat bag. Players will also receive discounts on any hitting, pitching or catching lesson/clinic put on by Triple Play Batting Cages was well as FREE cage usage (during open hours ; pre-season and inseason).

Triple Play Batting Cages Showcase travel season is for the high school age player in the U15-U17 age group. The difference between our Showcase and AAU baseball programs is the level of exposure, required travel and commitment and the level of competition. At this level the mission is to provide the players with the best opportunity to display their skills in front of top college programs and scouts which will afford them the opportunity to play college level baseball or beyond. We do this by giving our players as much exposure as possible while competing top area tournaments. Showcase players receive the same benefits as the AAU players with respect to uniform & discounts.

Team Tryouts

Tryouts dates for Triple Play Batting Cages AAU and Showcase travel teams are outline in the tables below. Players will pay a one-time $50 tryout fee which covers all days. We require players to make two out of three dates listed but you may attend as many as you wish. If you would like to tryout but are unable to attend the required number of days please contact Mark Chiasson at (978-407-1818). Our objective is to ensure that each player gets a fair assessment without the stress of having an off-day.

AAU age requirements are based on a players age on MAY 1st of the AAU season. Tryouts are for participation in practices starting this fall/winter and an AAU or Showcase season played next spring/summer. This date is used to determine age for all Super Regional, District and National Championships. You can use the AAU Age Calculator to determine your child's age.
